The Declaration!!

Many, Many things helped influence the Declaration of Independence. This page will describe the documents that shape the Declaration.
For starters the Magna Carta established a limited government, and said that all of the monarchs power is limited and not absolute. This was part of the english system in 1215. Also the Magna Carta limited royal power, and protected nobles and the other peoples from unlawful loss of life, liberty, and property.
The English Bill of Rights begun in 1689. This bill said that monarchs could not tax,or raise an army-with out the parliaments consent. the bill stated that all peoples had the wright to a fair and speedy trial in front of a jury and court, also people could persecute the king with out fear.
The May Flower Compact stated that every person had the right to vote. Equal laws and a direct democracy were the majority rules, was also part of the Mayflower Compact.
As you see the May Flower Compact influenced the Declaration of Independence by suggesting that every one should be under equal rule. The Magna Carta said every one has the right to life, liberty, and property (this was part of Natural Law). You have the right to a fair and speedy trial in front of a court and jury, this is part of the English Blii of Rights and the seventh amendment.all of these things influenced the Declaration of Independance.
