Jefferson's Statute the Constitution

This page will describe our basic freedoms, and how we got them.

Jefferson's Statute of Religious Freedoms gave people the wright and respect to religious freedoms. The statute told people that they may practice, say what they believe, and pursue whatever religion, with no possibility of being persecuted, ridiculed, or even tortured / killed for what they believed in. This statute became the first Amendment in the Constitution. The Amendment told people that the government guarantees freedom of religion, speech, assembly, press, and the wright for people to pension the government. This is my favorite part to the constitution because it ensures my basic freedoms.
